MEALS

Camp is an active place and full bellies are important to help keep energy levels high! With this in mind, Blue Lake Camp offers delicious nutritious, filling meals with vegetarian options. Summer campers receive three meals a day in addition to an evening snack with hot chocolate. Fruit is available all day for campers needing something extra. Nut products are not permitted at our summer camp. With advance notice, our camps are able to accommodate some special diets.

ACCOMMODATION

ACCOMMODATION

Our Teen Leadership cabins are equipped with bunk beds, hypoallergenic/water proof mattresses, and brand new roofs coming for summer 2023! Cabins are set up in a dormitory style. This gives campers lots of opportunity to tell stories and share activities from throughout the day. The wash house is equipped with sinks, flush toilets, private showers, hot water, and a change area with storage cubbies.

Our Teen Leadership participants will also go on an out trip where they will build and sleep in their own shelters. The JOYLS will have counsellors assigned, and sleeping in their cabin. The OYLS will have one Counsellor assigned to the 10 campers who will be in one of these two cabins overnight. The CIT’s will not have a Counsellor sleeping inside as they are in a trusted and responsible role. They will also have the opportunity to shadow a Counsellor in the youth cabins. The Camp Staff will still be assigned to watch over the CIT cabins.
