TEEN LEADERSHIP CAMPS

Blue Lake Camp offers three successional Leadership programs for youth ages 12+. Our task in Leadership training is one of helping people to develop a sense of responsibility towards themselves, others, and the natural world. The goals and objectives are set for each level, ideally youth will participate in JOYLS, SOYLS (summer or winter), and then CIT to be on the best leadership path with the end goal of working as a Counsellor at Blue Lake. Participants will develop skills that can be used in future career endeavors, friendships that will last a life time, and hands on learning in a summer camp environment.

junior outdoor youth leadership (JOYL)

Ages: 12 to 14 years

The JOYL program runs along side our 6 Day Regular Summer Camp. JOYL is the first step in leadership learning, focusing on hard skill development, fun and games. JOYLs will begin to learn about themselves as leaders, participate in our High Ropes Challenge Course, embark on a moderate-level overnight out-trip, and develop essential outdoor skills along the way.
