Columbia Outdoor School provides educational programming focused on outdoor skill development, environmental science and leadership. We accomplish this through fun, meaningful and collaborative learning experiences in the natural environment. 

Columbia Outdoor School offers outreach programming and operates Blue Lake Camp, a year-round outdoor education centre. Blue Lake Camp offers outdoor experiences as well as education programs for schools, private groups and youth organizations. 

For over 40 years, Blue Lake has been a leader in Outdoor Education. Our programs are linked to British Columbia school curriculum and focus on experiential education in an outdoor setting. Whether it's developing an appreciation for wildlife and ecosystems or learning survival techniques, deeper learning is achieved through doing. Your students will be actively engaged in authentic tasks that connect learning to the real world. Our staff are experts in activities that build critical thinking, communication, personal and social skills.

Spring programs are offered late April through June. We can run customized programs for your class in the Fall (September-November) and Winter (January-March). Our winter program focuses on winter survival skills and can include cross country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, and ice fishing. Rentals are available year-round and are typically reserved in time blocks; 2 nights or 4 nights.
