The CIT program offers an experiential learning experience to provide them with the skills and qualities to become an awesome Camp Counsellor at Blue Lake.

Through directive, and non-directive mentorship, the CIT’s will develop and practice leadership, communication, and planning skills. Our CITs will be given the opportunity to participate in all camp activities, develop skills through a variety of hands-on and activity-based workshops, and take part in programming camp-wide activities. 

At the end of the week, the CIT’s can choose to be interviewed to come back as a volunteer Camp Counsellor for later weeks in the summer. There is no charge for a CIT to return for another week of camp once they successfully complete the CIT program.

Prerequisite: Summer or Winter Outdoor Youth Leadership or 40 hours of equivalent leadership development.
